Patients living with advanced age, frailty, and cognitive impairment, including dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, are at particularly high risk of falls, fragility fractures, and their associated complications. Despite this increased vulnerability, these patients are often underdiagnosed and undertreated within fracture prevention pathways. Falls and fractures in frail older adults are associated with significant morbidity, mortality, loss of independence, and economic burden, raising important questions about how and when patients should be managed within a Fracture Liaison Service (FLS). This webinar will explore whether it is ever “too late” to treat, and how FLS models can adapt to meet the complex needs of this growing patient population.
